Disclaimer I want to start off by saying that we a regular family. REGULAR. We watch television, drink pop (read: soda if you're not a Michigander) and have student loans. Having said that, we also have regular issues, issues that are shared by millions of Americans: We like stuff and need certain conveniences. I'm sure there are many who would ask what is wrong with liking stuff and making life easier? A lot of people would answer nothing, that is essentially the American dream. There is nothing wrong with liking material things or enjoying the convenience that living in a developed nation affords us, however has financing your infatuation for stuff and the "need" for conveniences over taken your life?
